great stay but check-in could improve
The staff were exceptionally helpful, assisting with dietary requirements prior to our arrival. Breakfast options were delicious and well-prepared, a true highlight of our stay.

Super comfy double room with nice views. It had a private bathroom, flat-screen TV, tea/coffee maker, and free toiletries. The breakfast was really good, further enhancing the stay. Staff were friendly and gave helpful tips about the area. Despite being on a main road, it was peaceful inside, easy access to the garden for our little dog.

We had a lovely stay for a wedding nearby, and John and James were super accommodating, especially with my partner's dietary needs! The garden was great for unwinding, and we took advantage of the seating areas to relax. To be honest, I wished they had a cask ale option at the bar, but the Theakston's was just fine. 😊

The location was perfect for our needs, with glorious mountain views right from our room. Staff were exceptionally friendly and welcoming, making our stay feel personal. Meals were memorable, especially the grilled meat options, which were cooked to perfection. some areas could benefit from a little updating, as the decor felt slightly dated in places.

Perfect stay for families with dogs
We had such a wonderful time during our one-night stay in the family room. The staff were incredibly welcoming, and it was fantastic to see our dogs included in our dining experiences. The food was top-notch, and the room was spacious and immaculate. the location on the main road could be a bit noisy at times.

Room with a mountain view offered stunning scenery, creating a peaceful vibe for relaxation. The facility features a cozy bar area that's perfect for unwinding after a long day and enjoying a drink or two.
My partner and I faced some discomfort with a very hot room, and opening the windows was nearly impossible due to the traffic noise from the main road. The mattress felt thin and soft, with a noticeable springiness that made it hard to get a good night's sleep, and the shower had issues with the nozzles, leaving the water spraying unpredictably. Breakfast didn't quite live up to expectations—missing key items and served cold felt rather disappointing, especially for the price point.

It was a refreshing experience staying here for a family trip. The warm decor really made the place feel inviting, and everything was easily accessible, which was a great plus for those of us a bit older. I appreciated the cleanliness and comfort of my Double Room. it allowed for a restful night after our adventures nearby. a few lighter menu options would have been nice to see for dining.
